Multiple Google accounts, login with one browser, simultaneously

I am a big fan of various services provided by Google and I do own multiple Google accounts for different purposes. Now that I’m keeping up a blog through Blogger, I find it’s a little annoying not being able to retrieve my emails through one account, organize photos and blog through the others all at the same time.

Did a quick search today on Google and spotted various workarounds for it. Yes, workarounds as they weren’t really a solution that allows me to manage multiple Google accounts for different services all at the same time with one application. Creating multiple browser profiles or open up different browsers just isn’t satisfying. I finally found this Firefox add-on called “CookiePie” that does just what I wanted. Luckily, I happened to be a Firefox user!

What it does is to allow you to maintain different cookies storage through different Firefox tabs or windows at the same time! So, you can login one account under tab 1 and the other under tab 2. This doesn’t just work with Google, but also your other accounts from Yahoo!, Windows Live, or AOL. Just when I was going to download and install this baby, it says “Windows” and “Linux” Only…. Again, lack of support for Mac users. (I am one of the victims) Although some claim it works fine on their Macs, but it didn’t work for me. Not sure if it’s because I am running Firefox 3 as it doesn’t state on the website that this extension is Firefox 3 compatible, but no “incompatible” warning after I installed it though. Anyways, look forward to the newer version and the compatibility for the Mac.

For anyone doesn’t run a Mac or just wanna give it a try, get a piece of your pie Here

Have a little more fun with your Mac’s Terminal – Make it sing!

First off, oh my god! I am writing the second post! What a milestone to my blog life. Just something I found interesting while I am surfing on the web today. Something I thought it’s cool to know with the Mac’s terminal. As I already knew how to make it say things, now, I can even make it sing a song!

    Refresh of my memory:
    1. How to make it say things. In the terminal, type in a command like below with the “say” command –>
    say hello world

    2. How to make it say things from a text file –>
    say -f thetextfile.txt

Now to make it sing a song. Type the command below in the terminal –>
say -v Good oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Pretty cool, huh? More songs @ UsingMac

First post of my blog, woohoo!

First post of my own blog! Yes! Like I’ve done it so many times in my life, but this time I intend to go beyond one post and keep up the writing! I am really excited and determined this time because I want something that I can focus on and enjoy doing on a routine basis, and I can’t think of anything better than blogging!

Sure there’re so many other things that I can do, but blogging is really something, in my opinion, that can be advantageous in many ways. The main purpose for me to keep up this blog is to archive everything I encounter in my life that I feel like worth taking note of, to help me think things through and observe them in a more detailed manner. And hopefully, it can sharpen my writing skill as well (as English isn’t my native language, lol)

I am also doing this to create a better archive of my “Google Bookmarks”. Instead of just throw everything I see on the Internet everyday there, organize them in a way with my own thought or even comments from others later on (hopefully), it should help me digest of what I see and keep a better memory of them, and also, what a great way to reach out other people and learn from them!

I am really no expert in any field but hopefully, some of my posts can be helpful and meaningful to who ever gets to ready any of them. And yes! feel free to comment!!

Alrighty, that’s it for my first post, I’ll keep up the blogging!!
